A Four Season Playground
Lake Placid is famously known for its rich Olympic history serving as host to two Winter Games: 1932 and 1980. While still a prominent training location for athletes, the village has become a year-round favorite for all - you don't have to be an athlete to enjoy all there is to do here, although our 46 High Peaks are certainly a draw.
Beyond the Olympics, the area hosts several well-known annual events such as the I Love New York Horse Show, Ironman Lake Placid, and it is home to the Empire State Winter Games as well as the CanAm Hockey Tournament.
The cozy alpine village features two pristine lakes and a bustling Main Street that boasts shopping for every budget and taste. We've got our very own Performing Arts Center, relaxing day spas, and the dining options are plenty, as well.
